1960 Ford Anglia Deluxe 2D Sedan 4 SP Manual 997 CC Harry Potter in Uranquinty, NSW for sale
Current customer rating:
1960 Anglia 105 e Deluxe 2 door sedan. 997 cc . 4 speed gearbox. Yes. same as the Harry Potter car! Anglias are not very common. and are getting harder to find.
-This particular car is even more unusual than most! From what we can gather. this cool little car was built in April 1960. and is thought to be one of the earliest ones brought to Australia.
It has a number of unique features that I have not seen on any other 105 e's!!! *This car has front apron sheet metal / panel that would normally only be found on a UK "Standard" model Anglia hiding under it's Deluxe grille trim! It is definitely a Deluxe. as distinguished by its "Deluxe" grille. bootlid badge and side stainless / chrome strips and other trim details. (Australia only received Deluxe models. and not the "Standard" or "Super" models that were available in the UK etc) *The "Deluxe" boot badge has an extended tail on the "e" only found on the very earliest models. *The interior roof lining is also a very rare material texture / pattern (see photos) *The vinyl floor covering has a ribbed / striped pattern instead of the usual textured covering. *The seats are vinyl with cloth inserts. instead of the usual vinyl-only style. *The steering wheel has shiny stainless trim pieces on the wheel spokes. which apparently were discontinued soon after the Anglia's release due to being a "glare hazard" for the driver. *It has an unusual ID plate serial number. and model number. and body / vin number (another indication of how early in the production this car was) *It has uncommon interior door handles -each door is different though. suggesting at least 1 has been replaced. That's the good stuff! Unfortunately at some time in the past someone has picked it up and moved it using a tractor / forklift tine through the open passenger side door :( This has caused minor damage to the door top / window frame. but has done some more serious damage to the body door frame / roof -see photos. I believe it is repairable. but to be safe I am including another spare roof in good condition that was removed from another less fortunate Anglia.
All glass is intact. Interior is pretty rough -but the girl is getting old ) Motor is still in the car. no idea of its condition. Gearbox has been removed but is included. also unsure of it's condition as it was removed prior to my purchase.
The front hubs and drum brakes have been removed prior to my purchase also. other than that the car is complete. but I will include a complete spare set I have with this auction! I will add more photos soon :) This is a special car! There are not many Anglias around these days. and I have not seen any others like this one. It would be a great restoration project! I have 3 others in my yard (1 already in restoration. 1 already being modified/upgraded. 1 for parts) in addition to this one. and I don't have the time to do another project on this one -my loss is your gain! No it does not have a RWC or blue slip!!!! Thanks for not asking ) Local pickup only! Located in Wagga Wagga NSW Any questions. message me or contact on . Cash or bank deposit preferred. paypal only if you pay the additional fees.
