Alfa Romeo Alfasud 1.5 Super series 2 56,000 miles Rare 1970's icon

This is my Wonderful Alfa Romeo Alfasud 1500 super which ive put up for sale . the Alfasud is considered by many as the car of the 1970's and the forerunner to what became the hot hatch due to its low down fantastic little engines and its brilliant handling.

This great little car is totally original/standard with no modifications . its only had 3 owners from new and has covered just 56. 00 miles on the clock. This Alfasud is the Super version its was mainly sold as a 1300 but a 1500 cc could be specified which this one is. According to records there are only 6 Supers on the road and its unknown how many have the 1500 engine. The bodywork is the most important thing on old Alfa's and luckily this one was rust proofed from new and has also been kept garaged. underneath has never been welded which is a rare thing on any car of this period.

The engine is great and sweet and has a nice growl and rasp ive hardly ever had the radio on as you dont need too with that wonderful noise in the background. When starting it does first time on choke and the all important warning lights work too showing when car is up to temperature and not to rev. which is unusual as they very rarely work.

Inside the car is all original too including the 3 spoke steering wheel. which is also adjustable ( quite a thing for a small car back then). It has its original stereo which is colour co-ordinated brown like the dashboard. Inside the glovebox there are even the original Alfa stickers too and the rest of the dash is unmarked. The headlining is perfect no rips burns tears etc and the carpets have little wear. The car has had seat covers maybe from new . the person I bought it off said they were on when he purchased it and they do suite the car and look period. Ive not attempted to take them off as they do fit very well and im not sure I could get them back on as nicely.

Inside the boot the original mat is there . together with jack and Alfa tools in embosed wallet. Underneath the floor is great and all still body colour.

The Alfa has its original bill of sale from 1980 ( which matches the window dealer sticker ) old Mot's and bills for work carried out it also has 2 manual 1 Alfa another Haynes and even has an original Brochure too. The car is Mot'd until March 2015 and is taxed until the end of this month . Recently its had 4 new Michelin tyres. a new battery and a few new trim parts to freshen it up.

Are there any negative point . yes but not much its not restored its nice and original so its not mint but fantastic for its age considering how many of these great cars have gone in the past. There are a couple of small dinks on the drivers door to be expected and a few touched up areas and small cosmetic bubbling. I left these as they were as I liked the fact it hadnt been messed with. The worst I would say is that there is a bubble on the bottom of the drivers wing. you maybe able to see in the pictures if not ill send closer pics. Ive not touched the bubble it could just be paint or just need a small repair.

So there it is a rare iconic car of which there are no other road examples in the UK for sale at the moment its original and in very very nice condition and they dont come up for sale often . so its a great opportunity to get one while you can.
