1938 Chevy Stakebed Truck for sale

This truck was imported into the country about 5 years ago. it has an amazingly solid body and chassis. Just about every aspect of the truck has been rebuilt and overhauled. New wiring loom and 12 volt electrics fitted. brakes. hoses overhauled etc. etc. The engine is the 6 cylinder “Stovebolt”. 3600 cc petrol with a four spped gearbox. (I have a spare engine too)The truck has been fitted with an additional 1:2 gearbox to make it driveable at normal road speeds. (only did 40 mph flat out with the previous gearing). I've had no trouble getting parts. just about everything is available. The truck previously belonged to a professional body shop owner. ho did a complete re-sprayed inside and out. He had the seat upholstered in italian leather. The truck has had the original “Stake bed” back end fitted. This model is particularly rare even in the USA. With very few remaining. The truck runs and drives great but there are some small jobs still remaining to finish completely and I have most of the parts. The truck has had thousands spent on it with countless hours devoted to it. This is a very rare true classic. The truck is also MOT and TAX exempt. my insurance was £110!
