It's hard to know where to begin. so I have tried to put together a few highlights to describe the car.

This is a truly stunning Volvo 164 - carburettor version with the desirable and distinctive lower radiator grille. I have owned a few 164's over the last 22 years and I can tell you that this is the best I have ever seen. This car makes people stop in their tracks wherever it goes.

Fitted with correct Michelin tyres. it drives and handles just as designed. A far superior car than any of it's contemporaries in my opinion.  It is a real pleasure to own and drive.

The car was specially ordered in 1972 with a Volvo factory fitted tow-bar and has now covered 141. 00 miles. A cylinder head overhaul was carried out a few years ago with extra hardened valve seats fitted and the car uses or drips no oil.  A superb re-paint was also done in the last few years with all body fittings and glass being removed. The result is absolutely superb. The only non-original upgrade is the fitting of electronic ignition. which makes maintenance easier and improves economy.    

Recent MOT with just an advisory on a small windscreen chip (now repaired) and a slight blow from the rear exhaust box. This is barely noticeable but I will make sure a new rear exhaust is supplied to the new owner.

This car is part of a small collection of classic Volvos that I own. My plans have changed and this car and my 1800E are now reluctantly up for sale.
