1970 Tax Exempt Dormobile VW T2 Bay Camper "Roxy"

Roxy - 1970 VW Camper 

Regrettably selling Roxy after many years of happy motoring and adventures. She's taken us to music festivals. been a home and even gone round Europe! i always intended to fully restore her and respray which is why she looks the way she does now without much paint left on but the recent addition of a split screen camper an westy bay means that i have to many campers and need to depart from one.
Good Points:1. Pop top roof works. 2. has a nice swing out cooker behind passenger seat and pull out table. 3. all important rock'n roll bed works nicely4. great Bohemian interior - custom curtains and matching bed. 5. underside is solid in my opinion apart from chassis hole in pic - have spent a very long time wire brushing/scraping underseal and rust off then treating with anti rust paint and painting red oxide primer over with intentions to paint hammerite 12 year protection paint over that instead of nasty wax oil or underseal. 6. Brakes are excellent for Drums (always been surprised how responsive they are)7. Nice leather seats (have originals if preferred)8. She is Tax Exempt = care free happy motoring. 9. 80% of paint stripped and prep done so is pretty much a blank canvas to paint any colour you desire. 10. mot lights and indicators work accept O/S side light. 11. wipers. washers. horn. seat belts are all in working order. 12. Have a A4 ring binder folder full of service history like tuneup at Ricky Guilds. old pic of her to old tax disks and mots dating back to the 80's.   Not so good points:1. Battery tray has been repaired 2. N/S cab floor is holed but not mot fail3. needs some welding to chassis bit in the pic. 4. N/S Headlamp lens smashed but lights still work

Other Stuff:The engine included in sale is a non runner an not the same as pic (old engine in pic is in splitty camper now). the buyer however can choose between 2 engines in the workshop and i will bolt it in if required. Also have a complete full flow 1600 running engine i can bolt in if buyer wants to drive away but this is an additional £1000 as i currently need and use it.  She is a historic vehicle so is of course bought as seen. Mot and tax expired last year. can mot for buyer but cannot guarantee time frame or cost as I'm trying to get splitty mot'd at present.
