A lovely original example of a 47 year old classic Wolseley Hornet.

Sold with a new MOT and tax exempt of course this lovely little car was bought in 1980 by a London garage owner for his wife to use.   It comes with its service book. its original handbook and a pre 1971 copy of the Highway Code! Sadly his wife died a few years ago but he could not bear to part with the car. until he died and then I purchased the car from his executors. The reflective number plates and centre rear brake light were added around 1980 to make the car 'safer' for his wife to drive.

It is just about 100% original. still has a working Wolseley light in the front grille badge. The paintwork is I believe original save for the 2 doors which were probably resprayed some 30 years ago. The oil pressure of the 998cc engine is just as it should be. 75psi when cold. the gears are all fine as is the clutch. It is still on its correct hydrolastic suspension. having had a brand new rear subframe fitted in recent years. The carpets and leather seats are again all original. all be it with some wear to each and a couple of splits to the base of the drivers seat.

It has just had a new battery fitted and comes with its original red jack and wheel brace.

Any inspection prior to auction end is welcome. but no joy riders please.
