A correct. sound and mostly original saloon. recently painted in ‘L. N. E. R. green' and black. which compliments the original dark green leather interior. which is still supple. free from splits. and in very appealing condition. The headlining needs renewing. The car has louvred bonnet and scuttle. correct lamps. trumpet horns. and has recently been fitted with new tyres. The car will be prepared and Mo T tested before sale.

Snippets – The Mac George Scions : After appearing in the Barcelona Motor Show of 1935 the first owner was Andrew Morrison Mac George whose family. in 1853. founded the IAAG (Institute of Accountants & Actuaries of Glasgow) occupations of this diverse family included: Authors. Artists. Collectors of Great Works of Art. Scottish Gentry. Merchants. Priests & Stockbrokers.

In 1905 Andrew's Uncle - Bernard Buchanan Mac George sold his set of Four Shakespeare Folios to Marsden Perry of Rhode Island for the sum of £10. 00. 00 which today equates to £1 million BB's art collection also included a 1 st edition of Emma “The Butterfly” by James Whistler and works by Charles Meyron & William Blake.

Andrew Mac George's home of 20 Woodside Terrace. Glasgow was immediately next door to his Uncle Bernard who lived at Nr 19 Woodside.

The architect for the Woodside Hill area in Glasgow. George Smith. was well-known for his classic style of construction which showing in both his private & his commercial designs which included the Exchange Coffee Room. Royal Medical Society & various Banks.

By 1957 GPG 49 is shown to be with John Miller of “Midross” of Arden – the Rosses are a succession of small headlands which project into Loch Lomond – Nether Ross. Middle Ross. Ross-Finlass. Ross-Dhu and Ross Arden.
