Daimler Vanden Plas Series 2 v12

The Daimler Vanden Plas series 2 was and is a very special car. only 1726 made world wide. 1 of only 3 believed to be on the road in this country. the first british car to use fibre optic lighting. in fact this car impressed the press so much that they said the ride quality rivaled that of a Rolls Royce. and I must say she rides very very well. this is a fat cat that will get up and go should you require her to.

Ok so why am I selling her. well I do this type of thing I get something like this make sure its road worthy and then get itchy feet. often losing me money in the process. this car is class very very clean 40 years old in august. I will now do a character assassination on this car pointing out the bad stuff. but it be brutally honest description unlike some you see on here. /

ok the bad stuff 1) there is some crazing to the paint work in a couple of places. 2) the air con controls are not original however I do have an original fascia 3) there is a small mark on the paint on one of the rear wheel arches as in the photo. 4) 1 very small bubble in the paint on the rear door and front door and I do mean small hardly see them.

5) the radio works but the 8 track doesn't. but there are plenty of places this can be cheaply fixed

5) the headlining is in very good condition but I think someone didn't apply the glue in the right conditions and the headlining sags but not to your head. 6) boot lock doesn't lock but I have another with 2 keys. its a simple fix.

Now the good stuff. 1) Mechanically great runs like a dream. 2)all bright work in superb condition except boot plinth which is passable. 3) both tanks switch over as they should new SU pump recently fitted and all electrics work as they should. 4) interior is superb. 5) loads of paperwork and history 6) recently serviced and checked over by specialist. 7) car hasn't seen salt as its dry stored over the winter. 8) 63000 genuine miles. 9) I forgot to mention this is the carburetor version not the fuel injection and as such makes is more desireable its known as Stromberg and is the same set up as the E TYPE.

I am happy to answer all questions but please nothing silly like whats the Miles per gallon its a V 12 enough said I think. there is no warrenty with this car once its yours then its yours.

The rules. no paypal. if you do then the car will be relisted or you will pay the fees. deposit of £100 in my account within 2 hours after auction I have been mucked about before. lol. collection of the car to happen within one week but it will not leave me until all funds have cleared . so there it is a superb rare car that is so clean you wont believe it. come and look at it if you wish. its a short auction so don't hang about.
