1969 VW Camper Type 2 LHD SUNROOF MODEL
Firstly we are selling this on behalf of our customer due to them moving abroad we will do our best to answer any questions in relationship to it.
The engine runs extremely well in this old camper it has had a twin carb conversion. and lots of other small engine mods including being raised 25mm upwards. The gearbox is in very good condition and is a 4 speed. we have driven it and its really good fun and extremely quick.
The exterior of the vehicle is COMPLETELY ORIGINAL from the day it was new. giving it the 'rat' look. the body has been treated with ankor wax to preserve its look and stop it from getting any worse. it really does look extremely well for its age and how original it is.
The suspension on the front is on a full air ride set up which is adjustable from the cab. it has also been lowered on the rear and fitted with a fully adjustable rear beam. when this work was carried out it also had new wheel arch tubs fitted.
The vehicle has a full 12 months m. o. t and is tax exempt due to its age.
The underneath of this vehicle is exceptionally clean with no rust or rot and any inspection is welcome.
The interior of the vehicle is virtually new and all done in leather and fitted with a fully working rock and roll bed. the flooring in the rear is also new and it all looks very nice indeed.
This was a barn find in the USA and imported by a man who ran out of money and then sold it on too my customer who spent a lot of time and money renewing all the interior to the highest of standards.
The vehicle is ready to drive away today and looks exceptional. with the lowered suspension and alloy wheels it really does look the part.
