Description

This is an excellent restored example of a 1934 Austin 10/4 Chrome Radiator Deluxe Saloon. The Deluxe model signifies sliding roof and leather upholstery and this particular example retains a true period feel due to the original upholstery being retained.

The comprehensive restoration took two years between 1985 and 1987 and the history file contains a series of photographs showing the work undertaken. It was then acquired by it's last owner who has shown the car at numerous classic car shows over the 26 years of his ownership and it is now only for sale due to his ill health.

The excellent documentation file contains the photographs as mentioned above. an original buff log book. numerous previous MOT certificates. invoices and some press cuttings showing the car. It also contains more photographs showing the car undergoing a full body respray in 2010. a handbook and an original 1934 copy of The Practical Motorist with articles on the Austin 10.

The car still retains it's original transferable registration number FW 5054 and although t his number has a large value itself. we hope that the buyer retains the number on the car as to remove it would be a sacrilege.

Although the car is now MOT exempt as it was manufactured prior to 1960 it has recently passed an MOT which now runs until April 2014. The Free Historic Road Tax until the end of February 2014 is on the windscreen.

The buyer will be happy and proud to be seen in this car at any of the classic car rallies that are held throughout the year and it is likely to prove be an excellent investment.

Please remember that these vehicles are not new and that they have been subject to wear and tear. As such. they are offered for sale on a trade sale basis with no warranty.

Viewing

All vehicles are available for viewing by appointment during normal business hours (9 am-4. 30 pm Monday to Friday). Saturday and Sunday viewing by arrangement.

Payments

We can only accept bank tranfer. bankers draft or cash on collection as payment. If you intend to pay by bankers draft then we need to know the draft details and the issuing branch (with contact details) before collection of vehicle. No other forms of payment are accepted.

Delivery

Vehicles will only be delivered after full payment has been received.
