1989 Mercedes 190 e 2. 5 16 v

For private sale. is a 1989 Mercedes 190 e 2. 5 16 v. This Mercedes has covered approx 168. 00 miles and is now approaching 25 years old. The Mercedes 2. 5 16 v is taxed and MOT'ed although these will expire in May this year.

The Mercedes 2. 5 16 v features a full leather interior and door cards along with a really nice 4 spoke steering wheel. There is also an Audio/Video ICE install with an amp in the boot and speakers in the parcel shelf. The head unit has a powered eject/slide screen and can play CD's/DVD's. The screen can also display an image from the rear facing camera. mounted in the middle of the rear bumper. The 190 e 2. 5 16 v also has a Playstation 2 mounted under the rear shelf with remote joypads and also rear tv/dvd screens mounted in the front head rests. See pic. Unfortunately there is no sound emanating out of the speakers at present. The gauge cluster has been replaced and the odometer does not work. The Laptimer is broken and also the outside air temp gauge does not work.

The car has had a light restoration and respray in the past and hence there is little rust on the car. This is a solid car which drives well but needs some TLC. The Mercedes 190 e has a few scratches. dings. dents and chips on car and so would benefit with attention to the paintwork and bodywork. The paint lacquer has peeled in two small areas on the bonnet and roof. My mechanic has informed me that the wrong type of 190 e fuel pump has been fitted to the car. The previous owner has had the engine cam cover and inlet manifold coated blue and fitted a Powerflow exhaust. The SLS system has been removed and aftermarket shocks/springs were fitted just prior to my ownership.

The car features virtually brand new Mercedes EVO 1 alloy wheels which are rare and in mint condition.

The car has had a full engine refresh in 2008 with a new bottom end and a top end rebuild and new radiator. The car also had a replacement diff recently fitted. With a recent service done. this Mercedes is ready to go and drive away.

I no longer wish to fund the restoration of my Mercedes and would rather have the money spent on my yellow sports car. which also now needs restoration. Hence the need to sell.
