Dodge Coronet

Dodge presented a model Coronet in 1967, and judging by the fact that it sold more than 10,000 cars, buyers estimated the model with high operating characteristics. By 1970, the Coronet R/T (motorway/circuit) was not so popular, but remained a model for the fans of motor racing or racing of the course. In the basic variant used the V-shaped engine in the range of 7.2 litres of gender equality (Wedge wedge), called so because of the simple wedge shape of the combustion chamber. It was more reliable engine, which also easier to maintain and keep in good condition, than the celebrated engine with a spherical combustion chamber, which is also offered for choice. Even in the basic version of the engine gave the capacity of 279 kW with a carburetor or 291 kW with a set of carburetors a Six Pack. Torsion in the front and leading the rear axle, as in most models Chrysler, ensure the smooth movement. In 1970, the model was hardly afloat in a sea of beautiful and powerful machines (ironically, from the stables Chrysler), and the volume of sales fell to 2615.
