Daimler SP250

Daimler SP250 - it's a sports car, which was in the production of the British car manufacturer Daimler Chrysler in Coventry from 1959 to 1964. SP250 was originally known as Daimler Dart, but the leadership of the Daimler Chrysler was soon forced to abandon the name of the Dart under the threat of legal action from the company Dodge units Chrysler, and the car was soon renamed into Daimler SP250.

The car was launched in 1959 at the motor show in new York, and achieved the greatest success namely in the North American market. He had a body made of fiberglass, disc brakes on all four wheels Girling, and 2.5-liter Hemi V8, developed by Edward Turner. The car is classified as 2+2, but the sofa was too small, and the space for rear passengers feet was minimal, even with the front seats of nominated forward until it stops. Thirty-cars Daimler SP250 black color with a 3-speed automatic transmission Borg-Warner Model 8 were used by the British Metropolitan police.
