Beautiful Mostly Original 1968 Karmann Ghia Coupe

Vehicle purchased from the original owner in Arlington. Texas in 2009 where it had spent its entire life (complete paperwork in photos. ) Car had been repainted the original color and the engine had been replaced with a newer model 1600cc single-port. I had it shipped to California where I have done extensive restoration work :

New windshield and rubber gasketChanged all rubber gaskets for Rear Window. 2 doors (inner & outer). Front and back headlights. taillights. turn signals. bumpers. trunk & hood gaskets. engine to body pan and front hood emblem. New turn signal and taillight lensesChanged some bumper and bumper override parts. New trim rings and hubcaps. Updated radio to Pioneer with CD player (original radio included)New 3 point seat belts from a 1971 model (original lap belts are included)New carburetor. new coil. distributor cap. vacuum advance. points. plugs. shut-off solenoid and fuel pump. New firewall and side engine compartment insulation. New battery. All fluids changedNew glove compartment. new hood & trunk openersOriginal headliner with 1 small patch 4 new shock absorbersTires are hardly worn. Original jack & tire wrenchOriginal paperwork & manual (see photos)

This car is a beautiful example of a time capsule. Starts  on the first kick and runs great! Keep in mind. however. that this car is 46 years old. Everything works except clock & windshield washers.
