You are now viewing a 1965 (1964 1/2) or early production Ford Mustang 2 Door Hard top. This very first model and generation Mustang Coupe is presented in a very bold color combination of Phoenician Yellow with Carroll Shelby inspired Jet stream Blue Hood. Roof and Deck lid striping finished off with a Black Vinyl interior. Originally a Wimbledon White with Tan car this pony still retains nearly all of its original parts. Some small cosmetic changes have been made but the next luck owner will also receive all the original parts that have been changed over the last 48 Years. Yes. it has been 48 years since the first generation Mustang has rolled of the line to start a Dynasty for the Mustang Name Plate and also key people involved with the Mustang project like Lee Iacocca and Carroll Shelby. just to name a few.

 

its rebuilt original 260 C. I. V8 engine linked to a very nice shifting C4 Automatic 3-Speed Transmission this early built (05/16/1964) Mustang Coupe is still very true to form. First of all to get all the confusion out of the way. all 1st Model Year Mustangs are all titled as 1965's. Production actually began on 04/16/1964 but were labeled 1965 early production and some how relabeled by the general public as 1964 1/2 due to some several changes done after production changes occurred. This 1965 is a very early built introduction Mustang Coupe built just 19 days into the production of car # 00001. The differences are listed below to take the myths and confusion out of the picture. The bottom line is that the very first edition of any collectible item and the very last edition. which we wont see for some time on the Mustang. are always the very most collectible and most sought after models in the market place.
