I have up for sale an all original numbers matching 1964 1/2 Mustang Convertible that is a important part of history. This Mustang Convertible is the exact color combo and spec of the #1 Mustang Built at the Ford Museum which is Wimbledon White . lack Interior. 64 1/2 260 V8 D Code with Center Console with white top. I know in the pic the owner before me painted it blue in the late 70's but this car was originally Wimbledon White . I have the Vin and Data Sheet below of what the car is. This car is all original 100% except for color which I explained above. The original brake pressure switch with wires on the end and horns in the engine compartment. letter A on the switch. enerator. 4 1/2 hood all originally there along with everything else. The Vin Shows 135599. which the 64 1/2 mustang started with 100. 00 as #1 so this would make this mustang 35. 99. Their were 121. 38 Mustangs built in 1964 1/2 . Which 92. 05 were Coupes and 28. 83 were Convertibles. So being the 35. 99th car off the assembly line and made May 15 a month after they started making them how many with the same color code and specs match the #1 mustang at the ford museum. Is this the second car to be made exactly like the #1 mustang off the assembly line? Or is it the only one made with the color code and specs. There is so many color combo's and engines etc that could very well make it to be the 2nd or the only in 1964 behind the #1 Mustang at the Museum. I went to the Ford Museum myself to see the #1 Mustang and took a bunch of pictures just because the car I have is it's identical twin. How many people can say that they have the same exact car as that 1?. Well that explains the history of the car as much as I can. ther then the car was ordered to a dealer in Buffalo New York and made in Dearborn Plant . the rest of the info will be in the decoded vin and data plate code below. Now on the shape of the car. It is all original like I stated above and numbers matching. The car will need a full restore but is the perfect candidate for this. As I stated everything is there but 1 hubcap. spinners that attach to the hubcap and a tail light lens. nd radio. which these are easily obtainable. The Interior is in good shape mostly needs cleaning and seats re upholstered. No cracks on dash etc. some chrome is weathered but your restoring a car like this your going to want this done anyways. Center Console is intact and great shape not missing anything which is more rarer on a 64 1/2 to have. As for engine . It turns over and not froze up. I did not try firing it up but was told by the owner of the car that it ran which seeing it turns over I have no reason not to believe him. Even the Radiator Overfill Bag is there intact. Front Frame(Uni body) looks ok from what I can see. the back frame rails will need to be replaced as the leaf spring is pushed into the trunk. Body it self has rust in places where it is going to have to be replaced. Floor Boards need to be replaced. Front Bumper will need to be replaced. The Grill is in Good Shape with no cracks. ll Glass is there and Intact with no cracks and door handles . indow cranks . ash trays. all chrome on car all there. Convertible top will need to be replaced also and car needs to be painted back to its original color but this is why it needs to be restored anyways. I wish I had the $ to do this and send to a professional but I don't. This car deserves to be professionally restored. My goal was to save up and get the work done as I had $ to do it then bring it to an auction place like Barrett Jackson or Mecum to share the car with the Mustang Collectors as you never know what it might bring. It is a rare car being that the color and specs match the #1 Mustang at the Museum. Which no one will ever own the one at the museum but this would be the closest to owning the same exact true one with matching #'s to prove it. I am about to have a lot of surgeries done this winter so I would rather have some $ to support my family atm so this is the only reason I am selling this car. Any Questions call 906-236-9520. Well I hope someone that will enjoy this car as much as I do will end up with it and give it what it needs(True Restore). Thank You for Looking at my Auction and Happy Bidding !!! . Car does have 4 tires on it . 2 were flat from sitting there for awhile I probably should of aired them up for pics but I will have them aired when buyer comes and gets the car. The Last 2 Pictures is the #1 First Mustang Ever Built At The Ford Museum-- This Is What This Car Would Look Like Fully Restored To What It's Original Build Sheet Color's Were--Identical to #1. Please remember your not getting the car in the last 2 pictures I doubt Ford would ever sell it lol . Your getting it's identical twin that needs to be restored back to original to look just like that #1 car. .

Up above in Description I Meant F code not D code for Engine. This car is F Code just like #1 Car which is F Code also. I know it shows the right code in Vin etc but just wanted to clear this up.

I ended up Basically just taking the Reserve off and going to just let it go for whatever it sells for. The next bid will kick the reserve off. I figure just let the car sell itself because I have no Idea what it is worth. I do know that being unique to being the identical twin of the #1 car and as rare as it is. it will sell for what it is worth or someone will get a deal. I will know that it will be in the hands of someone who will bring it back to what it should be and deserves and that is what counts to me. I just hope who ever gets this Mustang will show me pictures when it is done because I have been dreaming of seeing this car restored for a long time.
