1971 PLYMOUTH FURY V8 MOPAR PATROL SHERRIF CAR AMERICAN

Up for auction is my 1971 Plymouth Fury c0p car. There is one years MOT and one years tax (free) so with the winning bidders insurance it's ready to drive away. Engine is the ever dependable 318 V8 with 3 speed torqueflite transmission. This car attracts ALOT of attention wherever it goes!! I personally imported this vehicle from california in 2007 and it's been with me ever since. Will be sad to see her go but other projects need some funding! I am the first registered keeper in the U. BODYWORK:-  As this was a california car there were no rust issues or welding repairs needed anywhere. just sun faded paint. I have had the entire interior out of this car and can say the floors are like new. inside and underneath. After the black/white paint was put on every area was treated with approx 20 litres anti corrosion wax then reassembled. This was done in 2008 and remains rust free to date. As the pics show the paint has a nice shine to it. The roof light was new old stock so is in as near perfect condition as you will find. works great. There are also flash1ng lights behind the grille along with the obligatory s1ren. all disconnected as per ebay rules ;). All glass. bumpers. rubber and trim was removed for the paint job so  no masking lines anywhere. No accident damage was found before the paint went on. The underside is perfect. zero rust!


MECHANICS:- The 318 V8 benefits from retaining it's standard carb and working choke so no pumping the gas or 5 min warm ups. just flick the key and go. just as the factory intended! Runs. drives great. trans shifts. kicks down as it should. Dosen't use any oil/water. Has recently benifitted from a new power steering box and idler arm. Brakes are spot on with recent pads. shoes. cylinders and fluid. Tyres all good. Exhaust is stock. i. e nice and quiet with a distant burble if you stand at the back of the car. Is good on fuel too if you drive sanely. I have always changed fluids/filters regularly. Trans fluid/filter was done last season. All hoses were done too.

INTERIOR:-  Door cards. seats. headliner. carpets. dash. all new or recovered. Underlay and sound dedening was replaced too. All electrics work as they should. all guages work including fuel! Has the very hard to find certified 140mph police speedo. The only thing that needs sorting is the A/C. it's all there but needs going through. compressor cuts in out when powered. Heater works very well. all vacuum operated air direction doors work perfectly.

EBAY BIT:- Although in my opinion this is one of the nicest 71 mopars you will find it isn't new. Don't expect a warrenty. or perfect showroom vehicle. There are signs of use as all the work was done in 2008 although you wouldn't know it. Pick up within 10 days of auction end from tiptree essex. Cash on collection only. Viewing is fine but i will not entertain people who just want a ride out at my expense. Final price bid is the price paid.
