1982 Ford Cortina 2.0 GL - GENUINE LOW MILEAGE + MOT JUNE 2022

Here for sale is my 1982 Ford Cortina 2.0 GL, it's a genuine factory 2.0 Pinto which was originally an auto but converted to manual sometime in the early 00's. I pretty much bought the car as a daily classic seeing as I always wanted one but I spend all my time sat in traffic on the M1 so it's really not getting used and enjoyed like it should. It does however handle motorway driving and stop start traffic without an issue, never overheated and never given me an issue. The car is as follows:EXTERIOR:-Seemingly all original Caribbean blue paintwork in great shape-15” Fiesta steel wheels with Escort 55 centre caps finished in Peugeot rallye white    -Also comes with the original wheels finished in silver -Shell is remarkably solid with no rot around the suspect areas (Bulkhead, turrets, floor etc) with only some minor scabs. Garaged pretty much all it's life even when daily driven through the 80's and 90's-Had an underside restoration around 10 years ago before being dry stored so the floor is solid as are the sills. Topside was untouched in keeping with originality -Recently did a detail on the paint and protected it with a non-ceramic sealantINTERIOR:-Original blue velour upholstery with no rips or tears (Couldn't fit the interior photos in the ad so genuine buyers please ask for them) -Headliner in perfect condition without any sagging anywhere-Modern JVC stereo fitted with AUX-Ghia clock surround fitted, the Ford fake wood is in great shape with no fading-All electrics work including the dome light, all locks work.ENGINE/RUNNING GEAR:-Genuine factory 2.0 Pinto, runs spot on and doesn't run rich. No clouds of blue smoke following you either as you'd expect with it not being a CVH-195/55 R15 tyres all with good tread-4 speed manual gearbox, surprisingly good on the motorway. Will sit at 80 and pass in the outside lane without any issue whatsoever. Gearbox is tight with no whining or crunching.-Lowering springs fitted before my ownership, these are the only mod to the car and improve the look by miles. Doesn't scrape on speed bumps and rides pretty much the same as any other Cortina except it doesn't roll around in corners quite so much. HISTORY:-85k miles with all the original MOT's to verify the mileage. Was covering an 80 mile a day commute but shouldn't rise anymore as I'm now using a miserable diesel for it.-HPI clear with a full history report -I believe it's a 7 owner car with 3 long term owners-Have some restoration photos with the car including the work i've done from wiring to cosmetics-Never stolen recovered and the key works in all the locks and the ignition -MOT to June 2022 with no mention of corrosion on any of themOverall it's a well kept and completely usable daily classic which is still in daily use and has been used on a long commute without a single problem. It's sat on the motorway and in town just as well as any modern car would. It's been daily driven most it's life so obviously it's not a showroom example but as you can see it's very much a presentable, honest and tidy car. I think at £4495 it's priced more than fairly for the condition, mileage and work carried out but I am open to sensible offers (if you think £3k is a sensible offer please save us both the trouble). I'd also be open to a swap/PX as long as it's interesting.
