1954 International Harvester R110 Stepside truck for sale

Manufactured in Chicago in 1954 this truck was built for export in right hand drive form and is believed to have spent most of its years in Southern Africa. It is in remarkably correct original and unspoilt condition. It has the original specification Silver Diamond 3. 6 litre straight six overhead valve engine and three speed column change gearbox. On the button. quiet running and well maintained. it is reliable. economical and very practical. Particularly enjoyable and easy to use here in RHD form. this vehicle stands out as a rare and honest American farm truck from the fifties. The bodywork. as can be seen in the photographs is remarkably straight. smart and presentable. with good chrome. The cab is tidy and fitted with all original instruments and correct three seater bench. Underneath. the chassis is wonderfully rot-free and the running gear is extremely well preserved and maintained. The truck comes with the original owners handbook and a comprehensive three volume workshop manual. In the States good examples are not at all common and are sought-after. In Europe International Harvester trucks such as this are rare and highly collectable. Road Tax free and MOT exempt. this vehicle represents an excellent long term investment and is also very economical to insure on a comprehensive classic policy. All routine service items are easily obtainable. Why am I selling? I'm a lot older than the truck and it's time someone else started to enjoy using and looking after it. It's sound. simple and rewarding.
