1977 VW Beetle 1303 LS Karmann Cabriolet

This car has just returned from Ireland where it has lived for the last few years.

It started life in January 1977 in the UK and is an incredibly rare original Right hand drive car. UK reg prior to export was UVW767R

It is finished in bright gold with white interior and roof and it really turns heads.

Like all classic cars it looks better in the photos than it does close up and will require some work. It runs well and looks good enough to use as is but there is rust in a number of areas around the body.

If I was to restore it I would say the worst rust is on the two doors and they could do with replacing. There are scabs of rust in a number of body places and the bonnet paint has cracked. Some of the rubbers have perished and chrome cappings are damaged. The car however is very sound structurally and seems to be very solid underneath. Parts for these classic super Beetles are easy to find and cheap.

If you know what you are looking at then you will know what to expect and really you would need to view the car in the flesh but its a useable car thats would need a restoration to bring it back to its glory.

The mileage is showing 29000 miles but I have no history or way of verifying that so I am not claiming it is accurate.
Original colour of the car was Green metallic.

Nice chromed set of wheels and good tyres all round(front disc brake model). interior is good and roof is excellent.

I think the asking price is fair as this car is not a converted LHD car but I'm a reasonable man and will listen to a fair offer.

This is a private sale so you will be buying the car as seen.

The car is still on Irish registration plates so would need UK registration which isn't a drama on classic cars.
