Complete. there's no parts missing off the body or conversion. it has all the panels. glass. lights. wipers. bumpers etc and all the parts I have come with it.
There is no rear interior at all. it's pure panel van. the drivers seat is from a Triumph and I lost passenger seat when I moved. The door cards/kick panels were tatty and may have been thrown out.
This started as a 1978 2ltr auto lhd twin sliding door from the Dutch post office. Now with a V6
I've owned the van for over 20 years (1988 ish) it's now stuck in the corner and needs finishing. Come see it. take it away even.
This was my shop van when I had in my VW Audi business.  I put in a V6 3ltr Ford engine years before but the body was looking tatty so it was taken off the road for a paint job and never got finished.
This is professionally built and not a hack. designed to work. The V6 3ltr Essex engine conversion works a treat. much cheaper to run than it was and a lot lot faster. much easier to fix too. you can get to everything. no problem with parts. I think it sounds awesome. When it was converted the engine was fully rebuilt and a hot cam installed. new bigger Webber carb and ignition system and all new ancillaries like a starter motor for a Porsche a new distributor. radiators (in the back x2). exhaust etc were new. most conversion parts used like radiators. header tank etc is all from common VW parts. it's not a mix of makes. cost a fortune. built to last I was never selling this. it did thousands of miles with the conversion so was well tested. The steering box was new as well.
It's got the double skin floor (strongest). With engine top hatch. Almost all the rust was repaired but it was never that bad. just the usual places they start that were sectioned and replaced. not just welded over. This van has not been restored before and is not a patchwork quilt. Underneath has surface rust now mostly because i cleaned it to paint then left it for years. I think the only welding needed is the osf jacking point (it's all cut out and plates made) and the osf corner ( all done ready to weld. I was just about to do it) and seat belt holes. they're already repaired but no attachments yet.
Merc 500sel 1978 alloys are fitted
It's an automatic trans with a custom made water heater/defrost system.
The engine was custom fitted to the body and trans and can easily go back to stock 2ltr engine but the V6 is what makes this good.
You need to see what you're getting so come see.
Full set of all new genuine seals and moldings
1 x new sliding door.
10ltrs 2k epoxy primmer included with 5ltrs hardener and thinners. span > I bought it recently. /span> it's not the same old stuff I used on the van years ago.
No idea what it's worth I need cash not space so it has to be worth it.
It's been SORNed for years
No MOT
I have the V5 with the V6 details on it
It does drive but can't be driven more than a few yards because it's in bits. The only part of the conversion removed is the choke cable ( took the dash out to paint ) . The heatshields and blower were removed for access to body underneath.

The van was a couple of days away from going into the paint booth then got stuck under a cover for a year or so outside. then came inside. the metal preped surfaces rusted and the primmer blistered a bit.  The brown in the photo is surface rust treated with antirust/converter and it's that corner. It comes off easily to nice metal. the other side is all primer. the white patches are a skim coat of filler as it was in the middle of being preped about to be primered. the roof. rear and left side were primed in a hurry and the surfaces handn't been fully finished. and now it all needs redoing because of moisture spots. The rear doors and sliding doors are in a mixture of states of preparation. one of the sliding doors is new genuine VW but I think it's Brazilian due to it's lightweight.
The engine has been started and run till fully hot regularly (if you like a V6 it really does sound good). it may have sprung a fuel leak it smells more than usual.
I may be persuaded to finish it for you if the money is right. This needs a good new owner who knows what they're dealing with. You can keep in touch after if you need answers on something.
If you wonder about the brakes. it already has the servo and discs as it's a 78 model.
