This 1946 CJ2A has just had a complete frame-off restoration. All body sheet metal is original with the exception of the inner windshield frame. It is 100% rust free. It is painted in the original Pasture Green with Autumn Yellow wheels using PPG acrylic urethane. Every piece of the jeep was taken apart. media blasted. nbsp;reconditioned and painted. The engine was reconditioned. It has a reground crankshaft with new rod and main bearings. reconditioned rods. new rings. valve job with new guides. new water pump. new fuel pump. nbsp;new distributor. nbsp;new gaskets and seals. Compression is 108 to 110 lbs. It has 40lbs oil pressure at cruise and 15 at idle. The radiator was taken apart and cleaned out. The transmission was rebuilt with a new 2nd gear. bearings and small parts. A new clutch set and re-ground flywheel were also installed. The transfer case was also reconditioned. including new seals and park brake shoes. Drive shafts have all new u-joints. The front and rear axles were disassembled. cleaned and had all needed parts replaced. including seals and bearings. The brake system is completely rebuilt with master cylinder. wheel cylinders and all new shoes. All brake drums were machined. All steel and rubber brake lines are new. The suspension is 100% new with shocks. leaf springs. u-bolts. nbsp;shackles. nbsp;bushings. and pivot pins. The frame was media blasted and painted. All four shackle mounts were replaced. The front bumper and rear cross member are also new. It has five original 16x4. 5 Kelsey Hayes wheels with five new 6. 00-16 military tires and new tubes. New steering components include tie rods. tie rod ends. nbsp;bell crank and shaft. nbsp;pitman arm. drag link sockets and steering knuckle seals. The electrical system has been 100% re-done. The wiring harness is a new reproduction USA made with original cloth covered wire. It has the original front marker lights and hard to find original fender mounted horn. It also has a reproduction NACO glass tail/stop light. It has been converted to 12 volt with an alternator. The alternator is rebuilt and is set up to charge at very low RPMs unlike some 1 wire systems. This charging system is very reliable. a lot better than the old 6 volt generator system. The dash has four new gauges and an original reconditioned speedometer with new cable. It also has the original gauge light. The windshield frame is original with a reproduction inner frame. new safety glass and seals. It has a vacuum wiper on the driver's side and a hand wiper on the passenger side. The steering wheel and horn button are also new. It has the original seats with new grey vinyl upholstery and new foam. This Jeep is not a Pebble Beach restoration. nbsp;however it is a very clean. nbsp;very well put together and a very usable jeep restoration that anyone would be proud to own. There is nothing hacked up. no holes that shouldn't be there and everything works. It has a clean Montana title and is ready to go. If you have any questions fell free to contact me.
