1970 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia VW Excellent, NO RUST !!!! for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 357 votes
I purchased the Ghia from California and had it shipped to Virginia with the intent of restoring it since it was such a solid car. However. life has gotten in the way so. hopefully. someone can finish this relatively easy project.
The car came with new tires and custom wheels and a Grant wood steering wheel. He had the engine rebuild a couple of years ago and it starts every time and runs strong. The glass is excellent. the chrome is almost perfect. headliner is fine. no sags or rips. The most important reason I bought this car was there is no rust. none. The doors bottoms. rocker panels. floor pans. etc are all beautiful. There is the slightest surface rust at the battery. but that can be removed with just sandpaper.
I removed the tar panels from the car and found the floor pans to be almost new. I cleaned the tar residue off the floor and sprayed the pans with galvanizing compound ( see pictures ) and installed sound deadening throughout the car and then installed sound insulation on top of that. A friend of mine did this on his Ghia and it made a big difference. It is ready for carpet install.
The gearshift linkage bushings were gone but I fixed that and it now shifts like new. I went through all the mechanicals and electrical system and everything is now working as it should.
I was going to upgrade the brakes so I purchased Brembo brake rotors. new semi metallic brake pads and shoes and stainless steel hoses. I also purchased new KYB shocks for the front and rear and Sachs shocks for the front ( depending on ride stiffness ). I also have upgraded front and rear sway bars purchased from Bugpack ( see photos ).
There is included in the sale the two tone door front and rear door panels with matching two tone seat covers ( headrest covers also ). I also have new saddle colored premium carpeting with the footrest ( see photos ). I have a few other pieces I will include ( light lens. door hinge. books. etc. ) The shocks. brakes. carpeting. seat covers. door panels. etc. is worth over 2K!
The only items that will need to be done that have not been done or are not included are the radio and painting the engine cover. In all honesty. the paint is okay. it would look better with a good buffing. but if you were to have it resprayed. as I intended to do. this could be a show car. There is a minor ding in the passengers door.
The seats are in the car and it is ready to drive and ready for carpeting.
I have sold many cars via Ebay. T-birds. Studebakers. Maserati's. etc. and everyone has been happy with there car. Let me know if you have any questions.
