71 VW Fastback - one family owned . 70. 00 miles timewarp condition.

I bought this car from the son of the original owner as he was too old to drive it any more - The son was no spring chicken either and they decided the car was surplus to requirements.
It came from Northern California and the climate there has ensured there is no corrosion. on this car. I think it must have been garaged daily as the paint is free from the sun damage associated with the majority of Californian vehicles.  
  The general condition is stunning - interior/exterior/mechanicals the whole thing looks and drives like a new vehicle.

Obviously it isn't new. and there is evidence of some minor paintwork - but I would say it is 85% original paint which is pretty unique too. It drives as good as it looks. the Auto box shifts perfectly and the car feels very tight and extremely capable. easily competing with modern traffic.

I think the pictures should tell the story. it isn't perfect - some age related marks and the odd scratch. but it is pretty much all original.  

No welding. does not need. nor has it been restored - this car retains all the factory applied undercoatings and finishes. The originality has to be seen to be appreciated. and whilst it may not be the most fashionable car in the world it still cuts a fine dash amongst the dross of today. and makes you feel good in the process.
I doubt there are many like this left.

12 mth MOT. nbsp; currently unregistered . but all duties paid and on the Nova scheme allowing easy postal registration. The car is of course tax free. and classic car insurance means discounted motoring .
