Motodrome are pleased to offer this exceptional original. unmolested & unrestored example of the iconic BMW M 535 i manual (E 28) finished in Zinnober Red with full M-tech interior. which is in superb shape.

fully equipped with 5-speed manual gearbox. limited slip diff. M-tech suspension. abs. the correct metric alloys (shod with a matching set of 4 Avon Turbospeeds) . electric sunroof and windows M-tech sports interior. rear headrests. central locking. trip computer. and externally headlamp wash/wipe and the full M-tech bodykit. Also fitted with BMW alloys. and period Blaupunkt Kingston stereo with graphic equaliser.

I've owned several of these over the years. and this has to be the nicest. It's had just 2 owners in the past 10 years. and has just undergone a full top end engine rebuild

Odometer reading 115000 miles. and comes with long MOT to January 2015 and 6 months warranty on sale. .

on test on arrival it performed quite superbly

Further detail:

The body and paintwork on this one look utterly superb. with excellent front wings etc. I believe (as did the previous owner) that the paint is all original . No major dents (it's very straight down the sides) but obviously expect minor stonechips. scuffs and scratches etc commensurate with it's age and mileage. but overall it's quite exceptional.

The arches. sills. floors and jacking points all appear rot free and original.

All I can really criticise is: a touched-in large chip on the leading edge of the bonnet. a tiny bit of paint loss on the scuttle. small scuffs on 3 out of 4 bumper corners. and a little bit of paint loss on the OSR skirt.

Interior – superb condition all round with excellent cloth. unsplit dashtop. good carpets and headlining etc. All I can criticise is a tiny bit of wear (it hasn't split though) on the drivers outer bolster. and the M flashes have disappeared from the drivers seat back and the steering wheel. The period stereo works. as does that insane graphic equaliser. but the electric aerial doesn't.

Even the fan blower works on all 3 speeds - a rarity in itself.

Started on the button and performed superbly on test - didn't display any signs of misfiring. hesitancy. or overheating etc (although the temperature gauge works when it likes)

and first class performance all round. No untoward clunking etc or dramas. just lots of performance. All I can criticise is the speedo isn't working (hence we're selling it as mileage known incorrect to avoid any misunderstandings. although we don't think it's done too much more than the 115000 shown) and the oil pressure light isn't illuminating on start-up.
