1969 Plymouth GTX

History

The Plymouth GTX was introduced as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 by the Plymouth division to be a "gentleman's" muscle car.

In 1969. the GTX received minor cosmetic changes. as well as the introduction of the optional Air Grabber hood (standard on Hemi-engined models). which made the hood scoops functional. The standard 440 V 8 was still rated at 375 hp. The ‘69 GTX was the last year that the convertible model was available on the GTX. The 1969 GTX also had standard black lower body side paint. replacing the dual. horizontal "racing" stripe on the lower sides of the 1968 model.

This beautiful Mopar features all original steel! When the previous owner started the restoration. the car was taken down to bare metal. The car was painted in 2012. The restoration was recently completed. The previous owner sold the car because his father had become ill and he didn't have time for it anymore.

The original build sheet and shoulder belts and hardware are included in the sale.

This was originally a 440 car. but does not have the original motor.
