Classic car fusion is excited to offer this immaculately restored 1967 Shelby GT-500 Mustang Fastback with a 428 8 v Cobra Le Mans Police Interceptor big block and a 4-speed manual transmission.

The gorgeous Wimbledon White paint is like new thanks to a very recent full rotisserie restoration undertaken in January of 2013. From the engine bay to the undercarriage. the wheel wells to the trunk. no piece was left unrestored or unpainted. The dealer applied Rallye Stripes have been left off as originally ordered giving the Shelby a cleaner more subdued appearance.

The undisputed king of Ford musclecars came with a host of performance upgrades included in the base price for the GT 500. This includes a competition handling package. integral roll bar. tachometer with trip odometer. oil pressure and ammeter gauge. extra cooling package. deluxe interior. deluxe woodgrain GT 500 Cobra steering wheel. and remote controlled outside rear view mirrors.

This particular GT 500 was preordered from the dealership in November 1966 with a few extra performance options including power disc brakes. power steering. a 4 point shoulder harnesses. fold down rear seats. Thermactor exhaust system. radio. and Parchment Décor front bucket seats.

The 7 liter dual quad 428 lump pushes close to 500 hp despite the comically low horsepower rating of the late 60's at only 335 hp to pass regulations.
