EXTERIOR
This 300SL is finished in the desirable Polar white which makes for a striking contrast with the sparkling chrome and black rubber mouldings. The paint work is in clean and presentable condition with the only imperfections being the start of a couple of very small blisters at the bottom edge of the rear wings. All of the chrome work is very good with no bad pitting or marks. all the rubber trim remains intact with no fading or damage. The car comes with its factory hard top which is in equally good condition and a perfectly usable soft top with no damage to the fabric or cracks to the screens.

INTERIOR
The cream leather presents very well with no bad wear or damage and only a little light cracking to the bolsters. the car came from the factory with the optional rear seats and seat belts that are in perfect condition. The wood trim is in nice order with no discolouration and the rest of the plastic trim remains clean with no marks or scuffs. The only none standard item is the Alpine CD player and a set of high quality speakers in the doors.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This SL has been kept in light regular use its whole life and judging by the 19 stamps in the service book has always been well maintained. The engine ticks over smoothly and provides plenty of acceleration through the well engineered 4 speed automatic gearbox. the 300SL providing a great combination of power delivery and reasonable fuel economy.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The car sits on its standard 15 hole alloy wheels that are all in perfectly presentable condition with only a few light scuff marks. they are shod in a matching set of tyres that all have plenty of tread. The brakes work correctly providing the driver with plenty of confidence pulling the car up quickly in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
This SL comes with its original Mercedes book that shows an excellent service record with 19 stamps spread out evenly over the cars 23 year life. There is a file full of all the more recent service and maintenance work and almost all of the MOT certificates have also been kept to further verify the low mileage.

The original leather Mercedes document holder still contains the service book along with the owners book and manuals.
