I have a 1979 Jeep Golden Eagle CJ-7 (Bronze) for sale. I purchased it 3-4 years ago and have slowly restored it here and there but I recently moved into a new house and have no where to store it so it has got to go. So far cosmetically. I have had it painted back to its factory color. added a new top by Best Top. new emblems. new hardware. lights. roll bar pads. and a new rear tire holder. I had the engine removed and painted the block to the factory blue color. Added a new transfer case. new exhaust system. rebuilt the transmission. and a new carb. Odometer reads 79 K which based on my research looks to be accurate. It has the 304 V 8. automatic transmission. air (not working yet). and tilt steering. I would estimate 5 K would have this thing looking like one of the baddest jeeps on the road. Here was my to-do list on the jeep before losing interest (what it actually needs): Tires. rims need to be painted to match. seats are usable but I planned on changing them out. they are not factory in the front but the rear is the Levi's button factory seat. Needs seat belts. rear view mirror. carpet kit. radio (I have a flip out screen Clarion that I can include). and a few gauges need work (like with every jeep). I would add a suspension and disc brakes for a better ride quality. I would repair the AC as well. Like I said. another 5 K would finish this one but I just don't have the time or room to mess with it. Any questions. please feel free to ask.
