Are 1980 s Oldsmobile Cutlass coupes collectable? Well. maybe not yet. but finding one that hasn't been beaten to death or otherwise molested is getting pretty darned difficult. And they remain popular year after year we can't seem to keep them in stock. So if you're looking for one of these great luxury coupes. this 1987 Brougham should fit the bill.

Even in 1987. Olds was pretty good at capturing the right amount of sporty and luxurious. just as they did in the golden years of the late-60 s. This black Brougham coupe is in almost entirely original condition which says a lot about the care it's received over the years. and for a black car it looks downright amazing. The shape should be familiar to anyone who has driven a car in the past two decades. but it has aged well and the knife-edged styling doesn't look nearly as dated as many of the designs coming out of the '80 s. Those long doors fit well. the padded half roof looks very good and adds a sense of formality to the car. and the "aero" headlights gave the aging Cutlass a somewhat updated look when they hit the scene. Aside from some minor signs of use and age. the car shines up nicely and you'll probably find that you're a popular guy when you pull into the local cruise night with this car. because everyone seems to have a story about one they owned.

The gray cloth interior is pure. undiluted 1980 s luxury. no question about it. but that is also part of this car's appeal. Pillow-tufted velour seats? Heck yes! Add in every single power option including seats. windows. locks. tilt wheel. A/C. and cruise control and you get a car that feels far more expensive than it is. The seats are shockingly well preserved and seem to defy the years. and with matching floor mats. the carpets are equally nice. Instrumentation is limited to the basics. but that's really all Oldsmobile buyers needed or wanted anyway. as long as it was surrounded in some wood trim. This car is so original that it still has its original AM/FM/cassette stereo. a GM/Delco design that should look as familiar as the bodywork to folks who grew up in the '80 s. Open the trunk and you'll discover that it looks almost new and is complete with the original space-saver spare that appears to have never been used.

While a great many of these cars got a wheezing little V 6. this one packs a genuine Oldsmobile 307 cubic inch V 8. Smooth and torquey. it moves the smart-looking coupe with the kind of fluid ease that you'd expect from a full-sized luxury car. The engine is quite stock. from the air cleaner to the exhaust system. and it has a lot of recent parts including a new radiator. belts. hoses. mufflers. and a full tune-up. so it's ready to go immediately. It's backed by a 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. so fuel economy is actually pretty good and it just loafs along at highway speeds. An aftermarket rear sway bar tightens up the handling a bit. and few wheels look better on these cars than the original Rally IIs with chrome details and BFG white letter radials.

Go ahead. try to find another one this clean. I bet you come up empty. There's a reason these don't last long on the showroom floor. so if you're interested. don't hesitate. call today!

TERMS OF SALE

1. Per the e Bay User Agreement. by placing a bid you are entering into a legally binding contract and are committed to purchasing the vehicle described above. The details of this

commitment are further outlined in the e Bay User Agreement.

2. Vehicle may be sold by Streetside Classic Cars prior to the end of the auction. Streetside Classic Cars reserves the right to end its auctions early or to cancel bids solely at its discretion and shall not be

held liable for any such cancellation.

3. The winning bidder is required to contact Streetside Classic Cars within 24 hours after the close of the auction to finalize the details of the transaction.

4. A $1. 00 non-refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction's close.

This deposit reserves the vehicle and removes it from the market. Acceptable payment types for deposit are: credit card. wire transfer. cashier's check. and money order.

5. If winning bidder does not contact Streetside Classic Cars and submit deposit within 48 hours of auction close. vehicle may be made available to the next highest bidder or another qualified buyer on a first come. first serve basis.

6. Streetside Classic Cars has represented this vehicle to the best of its ability. Prospective bidders are encouraged to contact us directly to provide additional information or answer any questions.

7. Please be aware that all pre-owned vehicles. regardless of age. mileage. or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Streetside Classic Cars encourages bidder to have a personal inspection completed prior to delivery to help ensure your satisfaction. Third party inspections are to

take place prior to a vehicles shipment or delivery.

8. All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied.

9. Final or winning bid price does not include shipping. tax. title. or registration fees. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide for any state or local taxes and shipping expenses resulting from the sale.

10. We can assist you in delivery through our network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a

vehicle is in a shipper's custody.

11. Streetside Classic Cars bears no liability and shall be held harmless for any complications. expenses. or damages resulting from a failure to meet these terms as they have been set forth and established herein.

12. An additional documentation fee of $199 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale.
