Ford V 8 Pilot 1947. full NSW rego until September 2014. with original chassis. sidevalve V 8 motor and transverse suspension. Some modifications including tubular shocks. collapsible steering column. sports steering wheel. floor shift. Stromberg 97 carby. hydraulic rear brakes. Ford Prefect grill. 12 volt electrics. mag wheels with 5. 5 inch bolt pattern. bracket and lap belt for child booster seat.
Body-off restoration completed in September 2005. including rebuild of motor. gearbox. front end. suspension. brakes. carpet. electrical system and bare metal respray. Upholstery was in reasonable condition so was not replaced during the restoration.
Runs and starts well. Only mechanical issue is overheating in hot weather. radiator needs a recore. Drops some oil but not major leakage. This is not a show car and has some minor cosmetic issues such as scratches on rear guards and upholstery damage. see photos.
Need to sell as I have purchased another rod and have no garage space for the Pilot. No reserve price so will sell if you bid. As mentioned this car is not perfect so I highly recommend inspection before bidding.
