Seller's notes: "Great condition for it’s age. The seats have been reupholstered, has a new head unit with an auxiliary port and a cassette player. New tires, new breaks, new alternator, the catalytic converter is 4 years old, recently changed the oil, new fuel filter, and new distributor cap. Recently had a front end alignment. The truck has a customized rear steel step bumper and hitch. 4 cylinders 20R engine 2.2L runs perfectly, is great on gas, with a five speed manual overdrive transmission. The guy I bought this from told me “original miles” but it’s hard to say when the odometer has five digits. When I bought the truck it had no rust on it and was garage kept. Unfortunately, I don’t have a garage to keep it in and it is starting to rust. Original paint, so it will need a paint job. It also will need a new exhaust system because of rust."

Toyota Hilux/SR 5/Pickup History:
The Hilux started production in March 1968. In 1975. the SR-5 Sport Truck was introduced. five a five speed manual transmission Around 85% of Toyota standard-bed pickups bought the five-speed. which was unique to Toyota. The SR 5 was the only mini-pickup in America to have a five-speed overdrive transmission.
In the United States. the name Hilux was dropped in 1976. and it became the or “Pickup” or “Compact Truck” until the Tacoma appeared in 1995. The 1976 line was diverse enough for Toyota to claim they had the biggest selection of small pickups of all manufacturers in the United States.

Do you have words of wisdom for a front bumper like the one in your pix? also a front fender.
