1969 Corvette Coupe 427/435 HP Tri-Power Monza Red with Black interior Tank Sticker The Stingray nameplate returned to Corvette after a one year hiatus. now in one word chrome plated script that appeared on the front fenders. The rest of the car was relatively unchanged on the surface. while several improvements were made to address customer issues in the introductory 1968 models. One feature needed no such tinkering. however: the ground pounding L 71 427/435 HP Tri Power big block V-8 that held its place on the options list for the third year running. That glorious powerplant lurks beneath the bulging hood of this magnificent 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray coupe. where its massive torque is taken full advantage of by a Muncie M 22 “Rock Crusher” close ratio 4-speed transmission and Positraction rear end. Finished in blazing Monza Red with a Black standard interior and boasting all-important matching numbers and codes with copy of tank sticker. this purposeful machine is all business. lacking even power steering and brakes. the only concessions to passenger comfort being tinted glass and an AM/FM radio.
