1956 Coral Red Ragtop - Semaphores - New 2017cc for sale

Original documented European spec car - original ragtop sunroof and semaphores. Car was built May 12. 1956 and shipped to Berlin. Germany. At some point. a US service man exported to Hollywood. CA. . where it spent it's life - living the good life. Have documentation letter from Wolfsburg.  


Car was restored by Bob Costa Enterprises in Eagle Rock. CA. All restoration records on hand. Car sits on updated 1963 pan.  


Motor: 2017cc built by Metal Craft. Sanger. CA - less 850 miles since completion. Machine work CB Performance 

Carbs Dell 36's built tested by ACE (Salt Lake City) 

Electric fuel pump 

Al's header - sidewinder (Ceramic coated black) 

Optima red top battery 

Freeway flyer transaxle 

New High Torque starter 

Everything has been powder-coated. chromed or polished - amazing fit and finish - attention to detail.  


Interior: Restored German 8 day windup clock.  

Steering wheel by Koch's 

Custom flocked glove box divider/glovebox and matching speaker grill insert (tan) 

New Wolfsburg West German square weave carpet (with additional 55 and older tunnel section. with brown split window style rubber mats 

Kilometer speedometer (calibrated to function with 135's tires) 

New Crow racing harnesses (2 sets) 

New FastFab threshold door sill plates with matching OG Empi kick plates 


Exterior: Coral red paint 

Original Hella VW stamped headlights - European spec - purchased in Germany. Wolfsburg West Canvas top 

Wolfsburg West bumpers. Powder coated / detailed bumper brackets/hardware. Wolfsburg West ribbed stainless steel molding/running board trim 

NOS 1950's fog lights 

Midland wheels - Torque Thrusters - Firestone 135s & 205's 

Original very rare matching locking both door handles and T-handle 

Powder coated fuel tank - Chromed Cog fuel cap.  

Restored Koch pop-out rear windows with larger glass logo (very nice!. nbsp;

GHE German mirror drivers side.  


Also includes professionally painted stock wheels (2-tone coral red and Ivory - excellent condition with very little miles. Correct fenders/decklid/hood. Hazet tool box is not available.
