1957 Porsche 356 speedster replica was produced around ten years ago by JPS Motorsports of California. Guards Red paint over black leather with red contrasting piping on the seats. This replica body by Ruetter was built on a solid '63 VW chassis.  The black canvas top. black boot Tonneau cover and side curtains are showroom quality. The interior features a classic Nardi wood Porsche steering wheel and speedster bucket seats. The exterior is completed with chrome "moon" hubcaps. all the period-correct badging and a suspension set at the proper ride height. Modern conveniences include the stopping power of modern front disc brakes. excellent handling via lowered gas shocks. sway bars and radial tires. a steel reinforced. hand-laid fiberglass body that can never ding. a modern Pioneer sound system hidden under the dash and halogen headlights. We have added new weave floor mats and had the “23” added. For those old enough to remember. when James Dean raced these cars his number on the car was 23. Further the car has new Pirelli tires. and needs nothing. but open road and the wind in your face! The 2110cc engine is reliably built with dual Weber carburetors. and mated to a 4-speed close ratio manual transaxle.
