1974 VW Thing 44,000 original miles - original seats engine, windows SEE History for sale

I purchased this VWThing in St. Petersburg. FL in 1992- I bought it at a garage that apparently was commissioned by the owner to sell it. I assumed that I was the second owner but that is to be determined.  The original owner was a member of the family of the St. Petersburg. FL. O'Brien Motors located at 4650 34 St. N> St. Pete. FL. the local VW dealer. The vehicle entered USA in Jacksonville. FL.  Trucked to Tampa to Lyndell Volkswagen. then transferred to the  St. Pete Dealership where some changes were made. There they installed the Air Conditioning system.  (I just cut the belt.  The Compressor and other components are included) they also installed the glove compartment and the front tow bar. The rear spare tire was added by my son in law.
History-I had the VW to use with my Winnebago- then my daughter got married and her husband fell in love with the "VW" he had it for about 2 or three years - he had it painted from original white to Ceylon Beige- a very expensive paint job- and he installed a CD player. and the rear spare tire hardware-  He had it undercoated and bought some lattice wooden floor mats.  
Well. Garage space became a problem for him. so about a year ago I inherited the "THING" back and I have kept in the garage and fixed a few minor ignition problems.
The windows are the original ones. they have been fixed a couple of times but they keep the water out. (see photos) We have most of the early repairs receipts - SEE PHOTOS
