Restored in 1991 by R. S. Coachworks to ' Coombs' style specification. Louvred bonnet and cutaway rear wheel archs. The engine was upgraded. E-type headfitted. " carburettors . XJ 6 gearbox and also Harvey Bailey handling kit. My car for the last 18 years. during which several more modifications have been made. A costly power assisted XJS steering rack was fitted and coopercraft front brake calipers XJ 6 rear calipers an alternator and stainless steel exhaust. 15 x 6" chrome compettion wire wheels with Pirelli P 4 ooo tyres. The engine was rebuilt and converted for unleaded petrol in 1996 at which time the gearbox and overdrive were checked and a new clutch fitted. The car was featured in 'Practical Classics' November 1997 in an article . upgrading the MK 11. 'Evolution not Revolution'. Now requiring some remedial work. Lower edge of boot lid is corroded and the front wing lower sections . both sides. The paint work is cracked around the ofside of bonnet louvres.
