AUSTIN MINI 1000
We are selling my son's Autin Mini 1000. He has fallen in love with Minis and has just bought himself another one.
so 'Bank of Dad' needs to sell this one to get some money back!
When we bought it it had already been restored by the previous owner who ran it for a short while and then parked it up in a garage for a few years. He made some really nice and tastefull modifications to it. including:
10 x 6 alloy wheels with Yocohama tyres new seats and carpets roll cage (which we did not disclose to the insurance company but I was happy that it made the car stronget and safer. as well as looking good) re painted in stunning Monza red
The body was in very good condition but the car had not run for a while. however it did not need much work to get it back on the road.
To get it back on the road and to finish off the car we did the following:
replaced fuel tank fitted stage one tuning kit (which sounds just right) fitted a refurbished carburetor three clock dash stereo Front Cooper disc brake conversion (brand new from Mini Sport last May) with new braded hoses new rear brake cylinders and brake shoes new brake pipes fitted where needed new boot lining kit plus other bits and bobs including steering gators. CV joint gators and a bit of welding for the MOT.
It is a great first car. cheap to insure. reliable and great fun. It is really eye catching and gets great comments wherever it goes.
