1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL with 51. 00 miles
Original Cream Exterior. with Palomino leather seating No leaks. No rust. No issues.

Truly Excellent condition. New belts. fluids. serviced. and ready!

This is the last year for the 380 sl.

With low. California driven. miles. no rust. no modifications. ideal color combo. this is a remarkable Mercedes to own.

2 nd owner since '96. with all records since then. and most from the original owner.

This SL has always lived in the Bay Area since new.

It has no previous body repairs. and does not need any major cosmetic repairs.

The interior still looks great.

All of the gauges work perfect.

It has been driven short distances in and around the Bay area. Northern California.

On January 14 th. the brake fluid. coolant. oil. and all of the belts were changed.

The tires are matching Toyo's with equal and good tread remaining.

The entire brake system was replaced in late 2011. to the sum of $1400+.

There are records for every service and repair.

The soft top was just replaced with OEM color brown it originally had.

The engine is very powerful. idles smoothly. and is in great shape.

The 4-speed automatic transmission shifts very smoothly.

Routine service has really paid off for keeping this SL in such nice condition.

All of the metal trim is blemish free.

The bumpers each have a small ding on the top. see photos.

The rest of the car is virtually perfect.

The original painted on pin stripe is wearing thin on some places. If you'd prefer to have the pin-stripe refinished. I can have that completed.

There are no dents. dings. or major scratches.

There are a few pin-head rock chips that have been touched up.

The suspension is in great condition.

Shocks. struts. front and rear end. all feels great! Curves are a real joy in this SL.

There are no rattles or odd noises.

The hard top has been sitting on a rack for the past 20+ years. and looks near perfect.

The passenger side corner of the hardtop's trim has been dinged at some point. and there is another small one on the driver's side.

Look at the photos for the dings on the hardtop trim.

It still has a factory gloss to the exterior.

Pictures do show the paint is exceptionally glossy. but I feel you will be very impressed with how great this 28 year old SL looks.

Being all original. it does have the few touched up chips. etc. which is expected for a car that has been driven and enjoyed.

The seats have some light creases. but are free of any rips or any issues.

The carpet is in good shape. no major stains or wear.

All of the wood and trim are in excellent condition.

Nothing is loose or has been altered.

There is a power supply for a satellite radio unit.

There is a JVC cd player w/ satellite input. the original radio is not with the SL.

The carpets are all original.

The trim all looks amazing.

It is a non-smoking car.

There is a seatbelt in the rear.

There is no rust or issues.

It receives many compliments and is a special car to drive and own! It is the most fuel efficient SL. with 155 hp. only 5 hp less than the 450 SL. still has the same sort of power. yet better fuel economy.

It is a real pleasure to drive.

All of the electronics work well. cruise control is operable. the antennae adjustment is operable. every light. feature. etc. is all operable and original.

All of the rubber seals are in good shape.

A few of the wheels have some light surface scratches. and a little bit of finish peel. see photos.

This seems to be common. and is really not that noticable.

The windows on the hard top have been lightly tinted. but I can have it removed if you prefer.

There are two keys. thousands and thousands of repair & service records since new. all the original books. manuals. tire changing equipment. spare tire on full-size wheel. tools. first-aid kit.

There is an extra cover included for the hardtop also.

There are many photos to show you as much detail as possible.

Hagerty's lists values around $18 k for an excellent (#2) condition. $25 k for #1 condition. $14 k for #3. this is a solid #2 condition SL.

Inside and out. you'll find it difficult to find another of this desirable color combo. with these miles. always been in California. with all records. in such nice condition.

This is the best 380 SL on ebay.

1985 is the last/best year. it does not get any better than this for $18 k obo.
