Volkswagen Karmann Ghia RHD 1973 12 months MOT

1973 VW Karmann Ghia RHD - 12 months MOT and 12 months Tax in excellent condition. White (VW Ivory) with black roof. One of the last right hand drive Karmanns to be made.

This is not an imported car.

1600 cc Engine - starts first time every time. I've owned this car for 12 years now and never had any trouble with her. Just sailed through MOT last week. as she always does.

I have some history from previous owners and all history over last 12 years. No major work needed over the last 12 years. Minor bits and pieces have been done in the past by Karman Ghia Motorworks (Mansfield) with reciepts to prove it. and locally at VW Outermotive in Warwick with reciepts too.

Interior is black and in good condition.  2+2 seats with fitted seat belts in the rear too - room for 2 kids in back. but a squeeze for adults in the back. Period 1970's Sharp FM/AM cassette radio with Pioneer speakers at rear.

94475  miles - during the time I've owned her I've only clocked up a few thousand miles. I only use her in the summer when dry and just do a few hundred miles every year (have old MOT's to show incremental mileage). I just enjoy cruising around in her locally.

She is garaged over winter and kept dry under a car-port in the summer. I never run her in the rain.

Bodywork is in good condition - take a look at photos and see for yourself. Only blemish is some small rust bubbles on front nearside of bonnet lid (again see photos) - nothing serious and easily rectified.

She is a real head turner and it breaks my heart to sell her. The 'age of austerity' has finally caught up with me and I can no longer justify my beautiful 'toy' when I have to get my kids through University. get them driving lessons. their 1st cars etc.

Footnote:

I've been advised that there were some changes to the budget in 2013 that means my Karmann will become exempt from vehicle licence tax next year. I did a bit of googling and it appears to be true.   Any car built before 1974 will become tax free from next year. She is a 1973 and she's already taxed for a year. so whoever is the happy winning bidder will not have to tax her ever again. saving £220 a year - result!
