VOLKSWAGEN 1972 TAX FREE 1600 TWIN PORT CUSTOM BEETLE

Thanks for looking at my listing.

I really don't know where to start with this. Basically I now have absolutely nowhere to keep her so unfortunately I've come to the conclusion she needs to go. Originally bought for my 21'st birthday. 'Oscar' was acquired due to a new chassis fitted in early 2000's and being an all round solid beetle. She was a daily runner and used her to go surfing. I was lucky enough to get her fully overhauled by a professional company in Holland back in 2011 with no expense spared! Since the body overhaul and new engine she's done about 2000 miles so is in great condition.

She has unfortunately. for various reasons. been in storage for about 2 years now and its time to say goodbye. Her MOT ran out in December and currently I don't have time to get to the garage. once I have an interested buyer I will discuss what I can do.

So. the list of work carried out is seemingly endless. but i'll have a go.

 - 1600 twin port Refurbished engine. New everything with 70 amp alternator and electronic ignition. Has only covered a few hundred miles.

 - New '66 Doors. bonnet. wings. lights and hood

 - Single window conversion. All tinted

 - Brand new Custom made 4-inch chopped beam with adjusters and dropped spindles

 - Brand new torsion beams and ball joints

 - New running boards

 - New Sports Exhaust - custom ( sounds amazing)

 -  New lowered shocks

 - EMPI Short Shifter

 - Chrome Windscreen wipers and bullet mirrors

 - Custom Heated front seats ( such a god send!)

 - Custom interior with new door cards

 - New Grand Style steering wheel

 - Rear Ford style lights

 - Roof Rack -custom chrome

 - New 15 chrome EMPI 8 wheels

 - Traktor S4 Midi DJ controller (optional)

 - 3M MP160 Pocket projector (optional)

 - Macrom head unit with satnav and Satellite TV

- Finger print safe. (For keys etc…It's really useful)

Issues.

The paint on the rear quarter has started to bubble and if I was going to keep it I would get it stripped back and respray it.

The only other thing that isn't working is the sound system. Its probably just a fuse or something because it was working fine and after being stored it won't power up.
