1965 MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE

After enjoying this car for the past three years. due to health problems make it necessary to let someone else enjoy it. " To describe would first include excerpts from the previous sellers description and note to me after purchasing. It's a 1965 Mustang GT convertible. It is a 289 A code engine with power steering. The rear end is an 8 inch open with 3. 0 gears. It is original to the car. The car's suspension is very tight and like new. Has front GT disc brakes and all the suspension is in great shape.

The only issues that need correcting eventually are a new instrument bezel and filling in three small holes in the metal part of the dash. rust repairs have been done on the bottom of each door. It is a manual top car with all five original Styled Steel wheels with brand new tires installed. Also undercarriage has been detailed and looks great. This is a very nice GT convertible that has spent it's entire life in California prior to being shipped to Texas. "

When I received the car it had the original black standard interior and black top.

I had a new tan canvass( $1600) top installed and changed the interior to light palomino pony including new burlap and front seat buns. carpet and rear side panels. I have identified the following GT feaures on the car. GT fog lights. GT under dash fog light hrness. rrear lights come on when fog lights arer turned on. Brake distribution block. clip on master cylinder cap. correctr fog lamp switch. front disc brakes. disc brake pedal. GT stripe kit. five guage instrument panel. dash trimmed for speedometer guage. riginal amp guage. reinforced floor panel under rrear seats with holes for hangers. dual exhaust through rear panel. correct hangers. oversized front sway bar 13/16". tubular reinforcing inside rear frame rails over hangers. Over the past three years a number of items have been replace like a new Florida a/c system tihe a Sanden compressor. the starter. starter solenoid. voltage regulator. windshield wiper motor and switch(wiper and washer work). battery. exhaust. hypo rally pac. (not hooked up) luggage rack. radiator. engine dress up kit and in the past two months a new Holley 650 CFM carb. with electric choke which has improved performance tremendously. . I probably have forgotten several items but remember that this car although in excellent condition is going on 50 yrs old so there is no warranty or guarantees car is being sold as is where is and it is the buyers responsibility to paywithin 5 days of end of auction and to arrange shipping arrangements.
