1968 Shelby GT 350 Ford Mustang 4 Speed numbers matching, Great driver

This Shelby just came in from Pennsylvania. #8 T 02 J 9. Sold new in Jenkintown. Pa to David B Phipps. As stated in the registry and current owner there are 4. In the late 90's the car received a freshen up (64. 00 original miles). Not a full restoration because it was not needed. One repaint ( Factory Highland green metallic) There are no signs of collision on the car. The floor pans. torque boxes. frame rails. rockers. quarter panels and all other associated sheet metal and fiberglass appears to be original. The original numbers matching J code 302 had a light rebuild. The numbers matching 4 speed trans was resealed and re installed with a new clutch assembly. All of the external bolt on engine accessories have been replaced including belts. hoses. stainless steel headers/ exhaust system and the radiator re cored.

The front suspension and power steering has had a complete rebuild and a recent front end alignment with new tires that were replace about three years ago. Both front and rear brakes/ booster- master were replaced as well and are still in new condition. We believe the car has about 10. 00 miles on the freshen up. The car is currently registered. driven and garage stored. The motor starts right up no noises. smoke or leaks. The clutch and transmission engage in all forward and reverse gears just fine. I have personally taken this car up to speed and beyond on the high way and find it totally road worthy. The interior is all original with the exception of the headliner. instrument bezel and after market stereo. All of the head lights. wipers. turn signals. heater and gauges work except for the clock. There are a couple of small rust spots in the lower corners of the doors and a couple of small spots on the wind shield drip rail pillars that are about the size of a pencil eraser. There are some occasional chips and scratches but nothing to talk about except for the split in the lower front fiberglass valance. The glass/ chrome are in good condition but will need a good cleaning and detailing like the rest of the car. And this is a car you can put right into service. It needs no mechanical repairs!
