Barn Find One Owner 1968 Pontiac GTO

1968 Pontiac GTO  coupe. nbsp;This is a  one owner  car  from new. I  am  selling this  car  for my client. This was his  Uncles  car and  he  recently inherited it  from him.  This  car  has  not been on the  road  since  1995. stored in a  garage since  1995.  I have  checked the  serial number and it has  the  correct  engine  and  transmission (numbers  matching)  Title is  a Clear  Virginia Title from  1968. according to  the  serial  number the  car  was  a  green metallic. and there are still some traces of the  original paint peeking through the other 5  colors  it  has  been  painted over the  years. It has had  soem  body  damage  here and  there. front  fenders. hood   etc. (see pictures) However all of the panels are  believed to  be the  original from the factory. I have only found  two  rusted  out  areas on this  car  one underneath the  rear  seat  drivers  side. a  area  about  6"x6" and  the other  is  in the  trunk by the  gas  filler neck;otherwise the  car  is  solid. It has  all of the  chrome. rear  bumper is  a little  rusty . but  could be  re plated.  The   right  head light door is not working ( but they  didn't  work when it  was new) It has the   original  spare  tire (redline) never  used. Interior is  very nice  for its  age . no rips or  tears. just normal wear. carpet is  also  original. wood  dash is in  decent  shape (better than  average) the  rear  speaker  control is  dangling. steering  wheel needs  to  be   restored. This  car  came  as  400 V8.  with 4v quadra-jet  carb ( just  rebuilt)  chrome  valve  covers.  the  distributor has  been  replaced  at  some point with a HEI. I  do not have the original  one. 400 transmission with  His/Hers  shifter .  Console is in good  working  condition. I have replace  all of the  brakes  . brake  hoses  etc. to  get it  drive-able. It  does  however need a  brake  booster. The  car  runs  and  drives. It  wouldn't  take much to make it  road  worthy. This  car is  a excellent value at the  price I am  offering it  for. One owner  since  new. everything  from there  except the  HEI. So  if your looking  for  a  GTO to  restore that's   pretty complete and don't  want to put a  pile of money into to have  something decent to  drive. this is the  car  for you.
