1955 Austin-Healey 100/4 BN 1
With the original 100/4 Healeys fast becoming the purist's most desirable model. prices for them are starting to eclipse those of the 3000. And unlike a 3000. examples of the 100/4. particularly the earliest BN 1 cars. are extremely hard to find in any condition.
Our Healey 100/4 is an original UK market right-hand drive car in its original specification. As you can see from the photos. it's extremely presentable with very good paint. It's really solid underneath too.
The interior is great with retrimmed seats. new carpets. all gauges work correctly and seatbelts have been fitted. The hood appears new and there is a tonneau. although that has a small (repairable) rip. The side screens are new and in perfect condition.
The engine is extremely sweet and well set up. It fires instantly hot or cold and shows excellent oil pressure. It benefits from an alternator conversion and a recent starter motor. The gearbox and axle are quiet. The brakes have just been checked over and fitted with new front shoes and a replacement wheel cylinder.
It comes with lots of new spare parts. including a steering box. brake and clutch hydraulics.
Whilst our Healey won't win a concours competition. it looks great. everything works. it has 12 months Mo T and it's certainly reliable – how do we know? We've just driven it 1350 miles back from Norway - we were having so much fun driving it we decided to go via France!
