1964 Cadillac DeVille Base Hardtop 4-Door 7.0L

Sale price: $7,000.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "This is a 50 year old vehicle out of my car collection. Eight years ago, I drove it non stop almost 600 miles to North Carolina (via I-95) and it drove fine. Since then I garaged it and have not had the chance to fool with it or drive it much. It was a daily driver in North Carolina for a while, until I garaged it. It still starts and runs great. I have to swap seats now due to age, but I have a decent set from another 1964 Cadi as a donor set. The water pump went bad while sitting (water leaks right out) but I have a new one that will go with the car. If I fix the water pump, the price will go up accordingly. The reason for sale is to make room for other cars that I bought for my collection."

I collect 1964 Cadillacs.  I bought this car many years ago from a motorhome lot. It was traded in as partial payment on a motorhome. It has been painted once (a very professional job) Metallic Blue (nice metal specs are visible in the paint). The engine runs smooth as new. so the previous owner took good care of it as I did also. It runs and drives very well with no issues. Windows and locks work as they should. One screw is missing from the inside of the trunk lock. so as a precaution I use the power trunk release (operated by vacuum!). This is a rare option. and the fact that it still works says it all. It has been sitting in my garage (started but not driven) for the past 7 years or so. The water pump went while sitting (bearing is shot) but I have a brand new one in the box. If I have it installed. the price will go up accordingly. and I might be tempted to keep it. Actually. reality is setting in. I need to sell it because I bought some other cars for my collection and I need the garage space for them. This is a true half century survivor. It would not take much to make this a number one show car. It has been well cared for and has good bones and a nice body. There is a bit of rust on top of the driver's side fender that needs to be repaired (this is common on 1964 Cadillacs). Looking at the body on the car. it doesn't look like any bodywork has been done. but I can't tell you what was done before I bought it for sure. This is an unmolested  original car. It has only 124. 23 original miles on it! That equates to less than 2500 miles per year. If you want it to be perfect you will need to spend a little (but not a lot) but this car is worth it. Contact me if you have any questions. thanks!
