1980 MINI 1000 60s style show car just completed 0 miles ready to show amazing

Here we have this truly stunning mini 1000 finished in a 60 s style. I have owned this car for about 8 years now I had it as a daily driver for about 2 years it had 22. 00 miles on the clock when I got it which was genuine and had just been converted from automatic. it was finished in pageant blue with a white roof. i took the car off the road at around 40. 00 miles in 2008 when I had a company car but couldn't bare to sell it so stored it until October this year when I decided to send it to the bodyshop so the no expense spared concourse restoration could get started. The shell was stripped totally and sent for media blasting to remove any corrosion the original sills. door skins. boot floor. rear panel and valance were all removed prior to this to access all areas. The car was in amazing condition as it was drilled and ziebarted from new. After blasting the panels were all replaced with heritage panels to a standard that now it looks unwelded from new and perfect. the car was then stone guarded on the underside and flated before being coated with primer all over the shell. The car was then treated to a full re spray in 2 pack fiat 500 abarth campovolo grey which is a modern take on the old british Leyland greys and looks stunning on the car.

The car returned from the bodyshop in the middle of December 2013 On return it was decided to build the car to a one off spec and standard so where possible everything was replaced with improvement and upgrade in mind . The car was filled with waxoyl in all cavitys and in the roof skin. There was a full 6 point roll cage bolted in which was painted in bright red.

These are just the main parts that have been fitted. this shows the kind of scale of the restoration. Every suspension part has been 2 pack painted or plated to a perfect standard including subframes and the whole car is built with stainless bolts fasteners and screws

The engine was a 20 k mint engine which was stripped checked and re gasketed with new seals the whole engine was cleaned. and a ported head was fitted. all casings were blasted and painted prior to re fitting.

The whole car was built in 6 weeks from a painted shell and completed last week with 0 miles and stickers on tyres for a new owner to take to shows and fill their trophy cabinet! The car would cost a great deal of money to have built to this spec and standard.

The car will come with a full mot for the new owner and original v registration plate unless the dateless personal reg is required by separate negotiation.
