Fully rebuilt 1. 6 liter motor - broken in with 2000 miles on it.   We used the best carburetor. new (over $400).  We also installed new upgraded Bosch ignition system components.

It also had:

Gas tank cleaned out

Microwave installed

In addition it comes with a dual battery setup.

A rust inhibitor black coating was put on the bottom of the car.  Looks good and helps protect the metal.

There's a cot integrated into the poptop. Very nice. but it does only sleep one.

Rear seat. like all Westfalias. folds down into a bed for two.   There are no rear seat belts. but they could be installed.

Has rear facing single seat that shares the table.   Great for playing cards. arm wrestling. tea drinking. you know. all the kinds of things you do when it's raining outside.

Has water tank and sink and all manner of cabinet space.

I left the original AM radio in it and it works fine.

Needs work:

It needs new clamps that hold the poptop down on the inside.  I've been using bungie cord. as all but one of the rubber clamps are broken.  The cords keep the top down just fine (it's heavy and sits there by itself anyway). but it would be good to find new clamps.

The van is almost entirely rust free. but there is some surface rust on the underbody. nothing that even remotely has rusted through.  There's no rust on the body.

It had a ding on the right rear body panel that was repaired when the entire van was repainted in original VW paint.

The rear wooden bumper could use a sanding and recoating with shellac or other sealant.   The wooden bumper itself is in great shape. it's just showing signs of needing a new coat of watever you wish to put on it.

You could drive this car across the country no worries.  Of my four Westfalias. it's my favorite to drive. but it's time to sell.  I'll be happy to help arrange shipping.
