Current customer rating:
Wow. just wow. This is one rare truck. A '60 just went at Barrett Jackson on Thursday for $52. 00 (
barrett-jackson. com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails. aspx?ln=726&aid=525 ). It was restored but quite honestly. not half as cool as this original patina truck.
Cab and chassis original delivery to the US Forestry Dept. deployed at Forrest Hill CA. Stepside bed is believed to have been added at that time as the tailgate is GMC. it was likely from another unit ordered at or about the same time. The patina of the paint is identical to the cab.
2 nd owner was Grass Valley CA Airplane Recovery where it sat in a barn for 30 years.
3 rd owner was private party (info included in records) at estate sale.
4 th owner was private party purchased in 2008.
We purchase it from the 5 th owner who acquired it in 2011. 5 th owner did a bunch of conditioning to the drive train.
Almost all the running gear is new or rebuilt (receipts included). Motor and trans run like new. No smoking. Choke and manual throttle both work perfectly.
Everything on the truck works as new. Wipers. heater. blinkers. high beams. all cab lights. windows. 4 wheel drive. clutch. etc. etc. everything is as it would have been new. and fully serviced. This thing is Amazing.
100% rust free. No repair. It is a mind blower. Original paint. Still shines brilliantly. Lost of dents and dings. but still extremely straight. if that makes sense. Just look through the 135 pictures to see what I mean. Perfect lines. doors and hood open and shut flawlessly. Doors close and fully latch with the effort of 1 finger.
Beautifully restored and supper rare 17" utility wheels with over $1000 worth of period (new) tires.
Windows roll up and down so smooth you have to experience it to believe it. All glass is perfect. No cracks. chips. worn rubber seals. etc. Back of the cab doesn't have a single ding. Bed rails. and tailgate are beyond straight. Truck was obviously never used for industrial use. Light duty. and lack of use has kept this amazingly rare truck in this wonderful surviving condition. Passenger side stepside fender obviously underwent some repair decades ago and extensive photos are included. Bed bottom is complete and in good shape under the plywood. however new wood is needed. Beyond that. this is a turn key opportunity to own one of the rarest trucks ever built in the 60's.
I could go on and on but take a look through 135 images here first and email or call with questions:
