We are not sure when this was converted to a Fire Truck. Our Fire Department has used it as an active brush truck since the mid 90 s. I have personally taken this truck on many fire calls.
The engine was rebuilt around 2004. It runs and drives.
I encourage any interested party to please
This is a good Candidate for a full Military Restoration or Just a Fun Antique truck to play with that has a lot of History.
On Jan-16-14 at 14:25:16 PST. seller added the following information:
Just listing the "Bad" here so that everyone is aware it does have a few mechanical issues.
The Larger of the issues is the Rear Differential. The drive shaft turns but the truck does not move.
We have not opened the rear to see exactly what is wrong.
We pull it in and out of the building using 4 x 4 and it drives fine with no noise from the rear diff.
The PTO Winch is disconnected. It worked but it leaked oil. When we put the rebuilt engine back in it we disconnected it with intentions of putting new gaskets in to stop the leak and never did. The parts are there.
The last issue. it is not the original engine. It is the Right engine for the year but the numbers don't match.
Please come see the truck or at the very least
Thank You
